Ropey the Elephant Visits West Bay Discovery Centre This Easter

Last Easter, the Stampede by the Sea Trail brought a wonderful splash of colour and creativity to Bridport, West Bay and Lyme Regis, as beautifully decorated elephant sculptures formed a family-friendly trail to raise funds for Weldmar Hospicecare.
One of those much-loved elephants, Ropey—named in honour of Bridport’s rich rope-making heritage—was purchased by West Dorset Leisure Holidays who generously donated it to the town. Since then, Ropey has continued to support fundraising efforts by touring the local area and appearing at community locations.
We’re delighted to announce that Ropey will be visiting West Bay Discovery Centre this Easter holiday!
Come along to see Ropey up close, take photos, and enjoy everything our free family attraction has to offer. Alongside your visit, you can take part in our Easter-themed activities, explore our brand-new exhibition Changing Landscapes, and enjoy our popular interactive displays.
