Reopening after Covid May 2021

Published by Editor on

West Bay Discovery Centre is reopening to visitors on Tuesday 18th May with a pop up exhibition  called‘ Turning the Tide’. Open Tuesday to Sunday with free entry, visitors can drop-in from 11am to 4pm.

Turning the Tide looks at the history of plastic and the problem with single-use plastics. Discover how you can help in the fight to reduce microplastics in our oceans..

We are thrilled to be welcoming visitors back to share our love of West Bay. Our Turning the Tide exhibition is the perfect exhibition to reopen with: in the periods of lockdown we have all had time to notice and appreciate nature and see the effects of mistreating it.

The Centre has been awarded Visit England Good To Go status, with a detailed plan to ensure visitor safety in line with government guidance including enhanced cleaning, test and trace recording and use of face coverings.

Other events connected with the exhibition are planned throughout the summer including children’s activities and story telling.
