This policy outlines how Bridport Area Development Trust (in this policy called BADT) (we and us) collects, uses and protects personal data and information in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation.

For the purpose of the Data Protection Act 2018 and any further legislation consequent on the introduction of the GDPR, the data controller is the Bridport Area Development Trust. The Data Protection Officer is the BADT Company Secretary. We use an online service called SendinBlue to send emails to you telling you about news and events related to the West Bay Discovery Centre. SendinBlue stores and handles all of the data we need for this.   SendinBlue is part of The EU-US data privacy shield agreement, and is fully compliant with the General Data Protection Regulation.

You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time and remove your data completely by following the unsubscribe link in every email, or contact us at info@westbaydiscoverycentre.org.uk and we will do it for you.

You can view, update or remove the consent and preference information we hold about you at any time by clicking on the update your preferences link at the bottom of every email we send you.

How we use the information collected through SendinBlue

  • Send you emails related to the West Bay Discovery Centre
  • Track how many people opened each email so we know how relevant they were to the recipients
  • Track clicks on the links in our emails so we know what the recipients have opened/read

BADT uses this data solely to send you emails relevant to the topics and subjects you have told us you are interested in. BADT does not share the data with any other organisation or individual.
