The series first aired in 2013 and ran for three seasons, starring David Tennant as DI Alec Hardy and Olivia Colman as DS Ellie Miller. The show, which won several BAFTAs, follows a small seaside community shaken by a tragic event — and explores how the people, the media, and the landscape itself all play a part in the story.

The stunning West Bay coastline was always meant to be one of Broadchurch’s “main characters.” Writer Chris Chibnall described the series as a love letter to the scenery of the Jurassic Coast, using its iconic cliffs, beach, and sea as powerful backdrops.
