Sourcing from local and national makers, designers and artists, West Bay Discovery Centre’s small retail area offers a unique product range. It includes home-ware, greetings cards, handmade natural skincare products, clothing, chocolate and books as well as classical children’s gifts, books, pocket money toys and local trail leaflets.
Local potter Miles Bell, part of New House Pottery in Broadoak, has exclusively produced a new design for us as part of his popular range of jugs and mugs, which features the iconic golden East Cliff.
We have new 2020 calendars from local photographers Neil Barnes and James Loveridge with images of some of our favourite local places. We also have greeting cards from local artists Sam Cannon, Chris Neaves, Margaret Taylor and Neil Barnes. Our colourful and special postcards are produced from original paintings by Les Hawkins who was born in West Bay.
Our sea themed T shirts and West Bay tea towels are produced by local screen printers Spiral Screen Printing. Emma Pawley a Bridport-based local designer and artist produces our popular West Bay hand painted pebble magnets. We have handmade local skincare products which are produced by Dorset-born medical herbalist Catherine Marshall.
